Where did my weather go?

firstfrostThe Quick Zooshing Trip to California for Twelth Night (about when my family manages to celebrate Christmas) was a success. I got another bowl (okay, more of a dish) through the luck of the Anyone Present Tradition (a tradition stolen from my brother-in-law's family), and we made wax fingers with sculptor's alginate. I can't forget to do chocolate fingers for Halloween this year.
But it got cold by the time we got back. I'm sure it wasn't this nippy when we left. On the bright side, we didn't have to stand out in the taxi lane in our last-week-light-jackets, because![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
tirinian and mjperson came and rescued us from the airport. Yay!
Somewhere along the line, I seem to have taken the job in my family of deciding things that nobody cares about. Otherwise, we spend a ridiculous amount of time waffling about things like "who goes in what car?" and "when are we going to eat dinner?" Which are fine things to briefly consider, but once it's clear nobody has a strong opinion, there's no point in worrying too much about it, and it's easier to pick something randomly and declare it so by fiat, rather than try and get someone to express a strong preference.
