[livejournal.com profile] justom had a "running for president" party. He had campaign posters saying things like "Giordano for President: A Stichelton in Every Pot" and "Giordano for President: Pants you can believe in". I brought picket signs against him, which [livejournal.com profile] ilhander and [livejournal.com profile] shumashi helped wave for a bit. It's hard to picket inside a party, though.

I am very pleased with how the Tom/Hitler photomorph came out. Anyone else feeling like being morphed into the celebrity of their choice? Whee!

Alas, the Omen is too obscure a cultural reference, unfortunately.

I had Hitler, Antichrist, and Teabags covered; [livejournal.com profile] harrock went with another variety of political crazy, Truther, in his tinfoil hat. Everyone said he made a very good crazy, though on our way there, someone looked amused and asked what the sign said (it's an Oath reference), so I guess he wasn't completely convincing.

Or perhaps your presence ruined [livejournal.com profile] harrock's cred as a crazy. :)

Also... how many tin-foil hatters actually wear tin-foil hats?

Pretty brilliant though - i wish I could have been at the party.

I did see a guy on the T once with a tinfoil hat, though his looked like a baseball cap carefully covered in tinfoil.

Hilarious. I'm sorry we missed it.

Did you find an Omen font, or did you do that from scratch, or what? It's very good.

The bowling-ball-of-666 is taken from a movie poster and vectorized; the rest of the letters are a font called "butterbrotpapier", which isn't as nicely creepy as the real Omen font, but is irregular enough to look spooky. :)

For the Philistines for whom The Omen is obscure:

So having gotten lost in your album, I clearly need to go make an icon of the vomiting pumpkin. (Which I typed as pumpking.)

Drat, but not today.... Field trip to a water-based wheat/corn mill from 8-11:30 (completely fascinating... as well as very allergy shifty), school lunch amusements from 11:30-1:30, home for my own lunch, and now back to school because on Tuesdays I DRIVE (much to the commentary of my friends) because the boys have 3:30 music lessons the next town over. :)

Can you explain tin foil hats to me?

They protect you from orbital mind control lasers, alien telepathy, the government beaming radio waves into your brain, etc.

(It's kind of a stereotype for paranoid schizophrenics)

Right. That's what I thought. But... I think other people do not think it means what we think it means. Gosh, that was a bad attempt to channel Inigo. :)

Anyway - glad you had fun!
