Stupid Flu
Jan. 29th, 2011 05:35 pmI've been sick for about two weeks now. Most of the real flu symptoms were front-loaded (chills, back ache, rice krispie lung noises) and passed pretty quickly, but I seem to be stuck in "fatigue and general GI malaise" for a while now, and it is annoying me. Work is being sympathetic as I keep declaring more sick days / work-from-home days (because even when exhausted, sitting on the couch with a laptop is something I can do) but I would really like to be done with this.
It throws off my personal self-image quite a bit, too. I don't need a lot of sleep, and I am not very picky about (and like!) food. But now neither of them is true!
Also,
mjperson has just as much trouble with lunch when I'm not there as I do with lunch when he's not there, so that's two people with trouble eating.
