Two Socks, One Octopus
May. 19th, 2008 10:33 amI finished socks two and three of the Autumn Ocean pair, in a more wearable size than the first (now unravelled) sock. And, there was just enough yarn left over to make an octopus, so of course I had to. I love the yarn color, though it's been hard to get a picture that does it justice. The octopus face is my first experiment in needle-felting a face, which I think worked very well. The felting process is still strangely magic, and ends up slightly inset; I think it'd allow for a much better range of expression, if I had any talent for art. :)
