harrock's Big Working Day, so he was up and off at the crack of dawn, and I've been adventuring on my own. I went down to Kew Gardens and wandered around some - the greenhouses full of orchids were a little crowded, and everywhere else was a little dead (well, it's February, not that surprising), but the orchids were pretty stunning. Then more wandering around Covent Garden (London musical buskers are just better than the ones in Boston, though they also have more costumed-statuary-people, which I'm less impressed by). I got roasted chestnuts from a cart, which pleased me greatly (perhaps they're all for tourists, who want to think they're in Victorian times).
(I've been asked for directions four times now. I don't even have a map, let alone know where anything is.)
