My original plan for yesterday of "get half priced tickets to Zorro" fell through when it was all full, so I got tickets to Entertaining Mr. Sloane, which was a strange dark creepy comedy with, as it turned out, no particularly sympathetic characters.
harrock finished his last testing by lunchtime, so there was also more investigating of yarn stores (Stash was not nearly as cool as Socktopus), and cheeses, and Forbidden Planet (I was sort of hoping they would have a Garrett action figure from Thief, but no), and an extraordinarily decadent dinner (L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon) which seated people at the bar where they can watch the kitchen.
One cannot throw a rock here without hitting a coffee shop, but I particularly appreciate that the coffee is good coffee - and that if you don't say "take-away", they give it to you in an actual Cup, with a Saucer. Culture!
Today... today is just flying home again. (With maybe getting some more coffee first). I have enjoyed being here, but I will be glad to be home again. I miss my people.
