One Man, Two Guvnors
Sep. 12th, 2013 03:44 pmThis was the Lyric Stage's season opener, a modern version of Servant of Two Masters. I normally think of myself as preferring wit to slapstick, but despite being closer to the latter, this was really funny. Silly. Hilariously noodleheaded.
There were also lots of musical numbers, at all the scene changes and before the show started - they didn't really seem to fit, (and sometimes it was hard to hear all the words) but I was amused by them nonetheless. (The last song was about the show, so it tied together eventually, but it was just as good without any connection at all).
