Two Christmas gifts finished - hoodie sweater for Aedlin, and Appalling Tea Cozy for [livejournal.com profile] justom and [livejournal.com profile] chanaleh.
In other accomplishments, I made ham stock from the bone from Christmas ham (and the leftover Thanksgiving celery, which really did hang in there steadfastly, but when am I going to randomly eat celery?) - I have previously been quite lame about doing anything with carcasses, but the stock turned out pretty well, I think. I suppose the next trick will be figuring out appropriate things to do with stock in the future. :)

Eeee! Mouses!

If you freeze celery you can still use it later in soup stock and, slightly less successfully, in soup. I chop mine into quarter inch cubes before freezing.

I find it keeps a pretty long time in the crisper drawer as long as it doesn't get soggy... (But it does get floppy. The farm share celery is always pretty floppy, and tastes better, so I've chalked this up as Harmless.)

From the small picture I was expecting a lot more eldritch from that tea cozy than I got. "Appalling" is false advertising. :P

There are Cthulhu tea cozies, like this:

but I'm not sure they're very appalling either.
