mjperson. Admittedly, it was a light fluffy run, in which I was well served by the players being willing to go along with the goofy bits. I bobbled the beginning a little, trying to let them talk to last run's NPCs without letting this run be "splash about in the detritus of the last run". But it did have Two Mechanics, and the affection interlude was much better where the players accidentally dragged it to than where I had plotted it for.
I'm not sure why I'm so enamored with "fling small items around the table" mechanics, but they seem to work okay.
