When the Gods want to tempt you...
Dec. 16th, 2007 12:58 amSo, today's Comet run had the Last Temptation of Errol. And also the Extra Bonus Temptation of Jabril. And the Mild but Plausible Temptation of Jelom. And the You Have To Ask? Of Course! Temptation of Zhan. And even the Ten Chapters Later Temptation of Dunyazade. Whee!
For those following along at home and who thought they knew the state of the world as of the 'al Jabar dinner, the new (and somewhat different) state of the world is (in increasing order of surprise):
For those following along at home and who thought they knew the state of the world as of the 'al Jabar dinner, the new (and somewhat different) state of the world is (in increasing order of surprise):
- Jelom is the new talker-to-all-the-gods. He can have briefings! This shouldn't really surprise anyone, and Naverre said he probably wouldn't get killed for it before he heard his song and someone else got the job.
- Jabril is now a priest of Jord. This should also not be a great surprise.
- Errol is the new King of the Five. (It turns out, the gods were willing to offer bribes, in addition to just asking him to choose. If the Breaker had thought to tell him that his ring would blow up upon rejecting the Breaker, we might have a new King of the Goblins instead. Good thing the Breaker doesn't always send the best salesmen.)
...drum roll...
- And, Zhan is the new King of the West (some assembly required).

And does King of the Five mean the Five are his subjects? Because if so? Duuuuude!

Date: 2007-12-16 03:54 pm (UTC)The West is the Summer run countries, to the left of the Inland Sea. We're hoping we can get Zhan and Krezan teamed up without his having to marry her, since a) she's married, and b) Zhan wants to be married to Zilda. :)
Alas, he doesn't actually get to rule the Five, just all the churches of the Five. Watch for new dogma coming soon!
