Needle Felting

Having mentioned that I got toys to needle felt with, I felt compelled to try. Thus, a Sidekick Hexapod, done in needle felting. (The next Octopus will probably get a felted face, to see how that goes...)

How long did it take? How firm is the felt? I've been curious about needle felting but I've never seen an example...

It took about an hour; it'd probably be faster if I knew what I was doing. :) It's sort of medium-firmness, like a sponge with a halo of fuzzyiness (not nearly as dense as felt fabric), but the more you poke it, the smaller and firmer it gets, so it's very controllable.

Yeah. A hexapod out of Edward Gorey, or perhaps Tim Burton. :)

Sniff. Nobody loves the new little hexapod. Tentaculus will have to adopt him as a sidekick.
