There was apparently a Brave Rescue by park rangers to recover Mom's octopus from a Locked Room, which involved taking the hinges off a door (unsuccessfully, one hinge was too stuck) and then a Valiant Recovery under cover of darkness. All very dramatic.

Anyway, the adventure has generated a Rescue Octopode. I'm sure everyone is tired of pictures of new octopodes, but I'm particularly pleased with the face on this guy - he seems to be shy and friendly and kind, and that many adjectives all at once is pretty cool. :)

Hmm, I need more sleep. The two images that flashed to mind from "Rescue Octopode" were

1, what does he transform into, and
2, where are his Jaws of Life? (Hydraulic tools that reduce a car into so much scrap metal, which is handy for when you want to get access to the patient Right The #$*& Now.)

:)

I saw him on your Flickrstream earlier today. He is cute. (Also: Brave Rescue? What happened?)

Mom's octopus accidentally got left behind here (http://web.mit.edu/boojum/www/Octopus/Compete/tn/nanoargoteach.jpg.html), and when they came back for it, the station was locked. Thus, a Rescue was needed. :) (Nanaoctopacious was finally rescued a few days later, after Mom was back in Maryland.)
