  • (A dream from a while ago): I don't remember the plot of the dream, but it was some sort of detective story. The alarm went off, [livejournal.com profile] harrock hit snooze, the story continued, and then a subtitle appeared: "One month later...". I was suddenly jolted awake - a month couldn't pass! The alarm was about to go off again! I had to get up and go to work! I didn't have a month to spare before getting up in the morning!
  • I am not on SIPB's threat model! Yay!
  • harrock and I saw the Communist Dracula Pageant at the ART last night. It wasn't as incoherent as I had feared from the Globe's review, but the thing I found most fascinating was the excellent Will LeBow impersonation that his replacement did. Within two sentences of his first lines (the character at that point being "One of many guys in suits"), I had pegged him as LeBow's stand-in.
  • Things that are Good:
    • The BBC Jekyll miniseries, written by Stephen Moffat.
    • Cold-filtered coffee, as here
    • Bueno Queso (the cheese and wine appreciation club at the Rolly Place) is finally forgiven for liking [livejournal.com profile] justom more than me.

There was some discussion on -c sipb about synchronizing between the Athena AFS realm and the SIPB AFS realm, including groups, and in theory people with moira bits (like me) could sneakily change the Athena version of an important ownership list and if it automatically synchronized to the SIPB version, then they could get locked out. Then someone said "But I don't think my threat model includes Laura" though they later noted that I have kerberos bits too, so I could still Get Them even without the moira synchronization.

(This anecdote may be too full of technical jargon to be amusing, at this point.)

too full of technical jargon?
