Whee, finished the second out of three Lace Projects. I realize belatedly that all the pictures I took are from the wrong angle, so the "falling cherry blossoms" aspect are more about cherry blossoms floating up and packing on the ceiling (or being blown to the right), but you can mostly get the idea. Anyway:

I really like the yarn (it's a 50/50 silk/wool blend); pictures make the color look fairly uniform, but it's actually a little variegated, which I didn't realize until had gotten several inches in. Very friendly to work with, not nearly as slippery and cold as all-silk, but with a little more shine than all-wool.

Congratulations!

Did you actually count out the spaces between all those little cherry blossoms? I think that would drive me mad.

Better on the right than in my salad. (as they were at lunch today: cherry blossoms don't give the same sharp note as Grafton cheddar)

Pretty!

It wasn't as tedious as it looks, since it's just one row at a time, and in a repeat. So, I only have to remember something like "K4, YO K2T, K to end of repeat".
