Forgetting to eat lunch until 2 makes the day seem to go by much faster ("What, it's 5 already? It was just lunch a moment ago!"). On the other hand, forgetting to go home lengthens it again.

(I suppose I should forget to go to work in the morning to even it out, but that's Jerry's responsibility rather than Mike's.)

Yeah, that happens to me. The first, I mean. I don't usually forget to go home. Though sometimes I can't, when I want to.

Wait, but don't you have [livejournal.com profile] shumashi to tell you it's lunchtime?

She's had a lot of meetings this week. :)

I've even been saying, "Sorry, no lunch for me today!" even though protocol says I don't have to. Though it doesn't work when she doesn't notice my messages.

Saying no lunch yesterday did actually remind me to eat at a more reasonable hour! :) But yeah, I've accidentally let AIM messages pile up on the wrong screen a lot this week.

I, on the other hand, get a highly regimented lunch hour. They let me leave the classroom as precisely noon, and there will be no being late coming back!

It's actually fairly convenient.
