In the morning, I get coffee in the coffee room, and put creamer and sugar in it unless I'm feeling extra-virtuous. This requires stirring. Now, I used to use one of the plastic spoons that we have a box of, and then wash it and put it in the dish drainer for next time (and so that there's a spoon available for anyone else who needs one). But the next morning, it would always be gone. I kind of assume that someone else uses it, and then their auto-pilot of "throw away disposable spoons" kicks in and they trash it.

So now I stir my coffee with a plastic fork, wash the fork, and put it in the dish drainer, and the next morning, the fork is still there.

Cool. :-)

I solved that by using a metal spoon from home which I washed.

For some reason I also assumed you didn't drink coffee...

I find it kind of hilarious that I am this mad coffee-drinking renegade. :)

I tend to use my long metal mail opener for the coffee stirring task. An added bonus, everyone in my office has watched me do this... and are now unwilling to steal it.

What are you doing? You can't stir with a fork! Then you get the stirred layers next to the unstirred layers and the coffee is half-stirred and everyone knows that causes galloping hyperthrapypidism!

Probably too late now...
