Kitri socks

These socks were designed by the designer of the Vintage sock. They're called Kitri, after the heroine in the ballet version of Don Quixote (taken from just a few chapters of the book) - so red and black and fans and lace.

They were a lot of fun to make - the fan lace pattern is interesting, the black lace overlay was a little trickier but much quicker, the beading wasn't as scary as I thought it would be (though there were Not Enough Beads, which was no good; [livejournal.com profile] twe gave me some of her bead supplies to finish). These are for [livejournal.com profile] desireearmfeldt, who said she would wear socks with beaded lace. :)

If you are ever short beads again let me know, I am pretty sure I have almost every kind out there.

I think I would wear most anything with beads, but I am quite partial to beads. I really like the fan pattern on the base of the sock!

Woah. Those are not "socks". Those are "accessories"! :-)

Cool!

I guess worrying about the bars snagging is sort of silly given the lace.

You'd be welcome to reduce the volume of my beading supplies as well!

Well, something like forty-three seed beads doesn't actually take up much volume. :)
