firstfrost: (knit)

This one squeaked in just under deadline - I had to rip back and reknit a little bit on Friday night when it turned out I was short on yarn (it should really be about half an inch longer in the body), I added the button loops and buttons Saturday morning, blocked it Saturday during the day, put it on the heater Saturday night to convince it to stop being damp, and wrapped it Sunday morning with an hour to spare.

Oooh, very nice colors! Sounds like you're following my kind of deadline management. ;-)

Is it for a particular baby?

Yup, for [livejournal.com profile] brilit and his wife-with-no-LJ's upcoming daughter. If I was just making it for the next spare baby to come along, it would have been a less tight deadline (and I really ought to consider doing that to get ahead...:) )

Yeah, it's a problem with the whole sock yarn baby sweaters. If you have one skein of a truly lovely color it's just barely enough for a newborn sized sweater.

The sweater looks lovely. It's a funny thing about EZ patterns, I can't stand her writing and am not really excited by her patterns as done by her, but I do like a number patterns that are basically her patterns reinterpreted by other people.
