A Perceivable Joy

The klezmer band that is actually called Ezekiel's Wheels (not the Nogoodniks Parade, as I thought last time) was back in the Davis T Station this morning. I stayed through one train to listen to them. Whee! Wait, their myspace page says they have an accordion/vocalist, but the group I saw had a bass player, though the other three I think are the same.

What's with this "perceivable joy" thing? Are there imperceptible joys that it makes sense to talk about?

It's an Oath thing. Tinoori are all named after perceivable joys, roughly translated to "things that make me happy." Many of the original ones were nature-ish (First Frost of Autumn, Night-Blooming Wisteria), but there were also names like Overwhelming Tactical Superiority and Independent Confirmation.
