Bah

When there are puddles in the basement, a swiffer mop is the Wrong Tool.

We have a shop vac which sucks up wet stuff if you take the filter out.

Actually, we discovered it sucks up water just fine with the filter in but you have to replace the filter.

yeah, shop vac is the best tool. We also have one. Althoug they are kind of handy to have, as I had to run mine over to a neighbor in just such an emergency.

Also a wringable mop would be a bit better, but not as fast or easy.

Old towels in a pinch, then you have to wash and dry and repeat though.

Yeah, I went and bought a wringable mop from the CVS. But there have been a couple of mentions of a shop vac this week for separate things, so perhaps that will be a future toy. :)

Given that you have a minimal shop in your basement, a shop-vac is totally a worthwhile toy.
