I had to stop and take a picture.

(I was also a little baffled that I couldn't buy *thyme*, I could only buy "poultry seasoning" that had thyme and sage. But maybe other people already bought all the plain thyme...)

Well, if this was the Stop & Shop on McGrath, I was one of the people who had bought plain thyme earlier. I probably have more than I need--should I bring you some?

(And I am amused by "fish" as an herb type.)

It was the McGrath Stop and Shop, in fact. You stealer of thyme!

I only need a sprig or two, so the "poultry seasoning" does have what I need, but thank you for the offer! So I suppose I am actually complaining about whether I compost extra sage or extra thyme, which may be silly. :)

I am a successful thief! Woohoo! And I will now heedlessly use lots of thyme in everything, because I can!

That's why you have to shop early... wait too long and you run out of -- um, never mind.

I was going to make some joke about that too! :-) Or maybe stealing thyme (except I couldn't think of one). Or in the nick of... um, time to stop. ;-)

Thyme is money (in this case apparently $1.99)

A stitch in thyme...

Thyme heals all wounds.

Maybe not.

Now you're just killing thyme.

I've had thyme growing in one of my window boxes for over a year now. You should see if it will grow in your garden!

Yeah, we have potted thyme and rosemary (they get to come inside in the winter) and it's great for the "I only need a sprig" issue... (Speaking of which, I see your problem is solved, but if you ever find yourself in need of a sprig of thyme or rosemary, you're welcome to stop by and snip some of ours.)

Er, the "you" there is addressing [livejournal.com profile] firstfrost -- you'd be welcome too, [livejournal.com profile] mathhobbit, but it's not such a useful offer to you, since you have your own and don't live right around the corner from me. :)

Yeah, I was trying to figure out what it was a misprint for.

Same here! I thought, "Fish? That's not a fish! That must be why [livejournal.com profile] firstfrost needed a photo!"
