These are the socks that I mentioned in July I had to rip back a couple of times (and, as I realized when I finished the second sock, I still missed a step, but it looks fine without it). For something that I hadn't done before, the embroidery wasn't too painful, though some of the roses are a bit more haphazard than others, and getting *one* French knot looking properly rose-ish just made me aware of how much the others didn't.

Anyway, I finished the embroidery during the Dragon season finale (which had a few issues, but I think came together a lot more than I thought it was going to on Thursday or so). The second sock still needs a blocking to make it look tidy, but that's close enough to done to count.

Wow, that's very nice! :-) The rose effect is cool.

I thought the run came together well!

Also, I saw the socks yesterday and thought they were pretty.

Pretty! And very nicely done for first-time embroidery.

Very nice! French knots are tough--I did a picture that had dozens of them and they kept being almost right until one day something clicked and I found the trick.
