Click on the thumbnail to see the colors properly - it's a gorgeous mostly-green-with-hints-of-blue, and the stranded stitch pattern breaks up the little mini-stripes that you can see in the stockinette. This particular pattern has a shallower heel than I prefer, but I guess different people have different feet.

I tend to have a project for work, to knit during once-a-week meetings. But an hour a week is pretty slow going, so eventually I take it on vacation or home or something and finish it. Which is good for not feeling like a very slow knitter, but kind of silly for "having something to work on at work".

Pretty! The pattern does do nicely with the mixed colors.

Wanting projects to end eventually seems pretty reasonable.

Gosh yes, that color is quite pretty in the full-sized image. Nice socks!

Re: heel, I hate it when something I've slaved over doesn't fit quite right or taste quite right. Is this for you? I guess you have plenty of people who could take them off your hands in a pinch. :-)
