Yeah, sad has too many interpretations. "Heartbreaking" might be a better choice. Or "French". ;)

Parts of the movie revisited me as I was drifting off to sleep last night (having not thought about it all day.) At which point "sad" moved into "heartwrenching" and quite possibly "creepy."
