firstfrostEvery so often I have a day at work where I channel G. and feel compelled to think "I hate this. Hate you. Hate hate hate." Usually it's when the people I need to fix something ignore me, but today it's a user.
I have declined to delete someone else's mailing list for having a name which is unpopular in the current political climate. I have, instead, provided instructions on how the members can remove themvelves, and I have provided instructions on how the list owners can delete the list, and how to proceed if there is inappropriate mail being directed to the list.
This is insufficient. I am, therefore, "disgusting", "extremely offensive", and going to be complained at to my boss, and my bosses' boss, and all the way up the chain of command to Chuck Vest.
It's not like I agree with the sentiment expressed by the list name. I just don't think it's right to go around slaying other people's lists because I don't agree with them.
Perhaps lunch will be better.
