Globe "special" rates
I think the Boston Globe should have better things to do than try to bribe us into paying for a Sunday paper. But here they go again. Every N months, they call and say "Hey, we noticed you get six days a week of the Globe. We have a promotion, if you get all seven, including Sunday, we'll charge you way less than you're currently paying. For the next twelve weeks, and then we raise the price to the regular price." So we say sure, and put a note in the calendar to cancel the Sunday as of twelve weeks from now.
And then they do it again. And again. I feel kinda guilty about all the wasted newsprint, but not quite guilty enough to not take advantage of them.
(And, for those who are wondering, both
harrock and
tirinian subscribe and take the paper to work. But we really don't need two Sunday papers.)

You really have to get over this type of guilt.

I feel as if I ought to say "guilt makes you do the wacky" only it feels... um... wacky to do so. ;)
Perhaps there's some deserving person/charity out there who would gladly take the second copy off of your hands at no effort to yourself?

Ok, not really, but I would happily take your coupon inserts off you hands. I'll have to remember this when there's good coupons in them.
