After the discussion with desireearmfeldt about technical things distracting one from a performance, I was embarassed to realize how much I was completely distracted from the words by taking pictures at rehearsal. I saw their expressions, but I wasn't listening. Anyway, I saw it for real with the words this time. The expressions were good. The words were good too. It really was funnier with both at the same time.

And speaking of pictures, here's the one I like best. It looks (to me) strangely like a sort of Norman Rockwell style painting, rather than a photo; I can't explain it.

It looks like you photoshop filtered it to look like an oil painting. It's the colors, or maybe how the camera dealt with low light?

It's mostly low light rather than Photoshop. It's not totally pristine, but I think the main tweaks were a brightness balance and lessening the shadows.

It's the lighting and color palette that does it for me (makes it look like N.Rockwell). Cool photo :-)

I've also realized lately that taking photos detracts from enjoying the here and now. So recently when I'm with my nieces I try to take less pictures and listen and enjoy *them* more.

Huh. Yeah, definitely looks more like an oil painting than a photo. Something about the reds, I think, but I'm not sure what.
