Date: 2011-04-07 08:44 pm (UTC)Given that on patterned tissue, the pattern is always on the side so that it shows to best effect when installed overhand, it seems pretty clear to me that's the manufacturers intent. Additionally, it was pointed out to me by a gentleman that when standing, it is significantly easier to grab overhand.
That said, I think there is a strong aesthetic argument for having the tail end lie neatly against the wall and I have lived with several cat owners who find that in that configuration it provides less temptation to the cats.
So I think that there is a "correct" answer, but that it is not important that it be followed if that's just not the way you roll.
