Day of Doom Part 1

Today is probably the busiest day of the year, for my job. Last night, the email notices saying "your account will be deactivated in January" went out to about 6000 people. A large number of these people have objections.

(The second busiest is the day after they actually go away, in which the people who don't pay attention to their email call us to find out what happened to their account. Happily, at MIT, more people read their email than not.)

Whee. :)

You should already be set, because (unlike kirosutogomen) you *did* answer my mail. So you shouldn't have gotten the email warning, right?

Oh, sorry, I do think I'm set. I was just making a joke. I didn't realize the other similar messages weren't joke too. :)

(I've gotten something like a hundred messages like this today, so I didn't even think to wonder if this one wasn't serious! :) I just started poking at all the relevant files to figure out why you *would* have gotten the doom message.)

Actually, mine was supposed to be a joke, too, about the people you mentioned before who don't know how to read.
